Welcome to retrostories – a collection of moments captured through my lens. I believe every photograph tells a story, whether it's the misty mornings in Madeira, the playful energy of dogs in nature, or the delicate beauty of flora.
My work focuses on finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, capturing authentic moments that evoke emotion and preserve memories. From landscapes to portraits, each image is a piece of a larger narrative about our connection to the world around us.
Through this platform, I share not just photographs, but the stories behind them – the places that inspired me, the moments that moved me, and the memories that shaped me.
Started with a overly complicated camera. Bought a Sony A7R IV, and began my journey into photography overwhelmed by the possibilities and features.
Bought a SLR and started experimenting with film photography. To make my life even more complicated, I decided to scan my own film at home.
Launched this platform to share not just photos, but the stories and emotions behind each captured moment.
Sold my already overpowered Sony A7R IV so upgrade to the mark V. I also bought the smaller brother A6700 to have a more portable option.
To combine my two passions: photography and web development.
“Photography is not about the camera or the technical settings. It's about seeing the world with fresh eyes and capturing the emotions that make each moment unique.”
Every image should tell a genuine story, free from artificial enhancement that masks the true beauty of the moment.
Less is more. I believe in clean compositions that allow the subject and emotion to take center stage.
Photography is a bridge between the photographer and viewer, sharing experiences and evoking shared emotions.
I'm always interested in collaborating on meaningful projects or simply sharing stories about photography and travel.
